According to a new report from Lending Tree, three Lone Star State cities have some of the largest homes in the nation. Houston took the number one spot with houses having a median size of 1,952 sqft, Dallas ranked fourth with 1,862 sqft and Austin ranked fifth with 1,861 sqft. Rounding out the top five cities on this list, you will find Atlanta, Georgia at number two with homes having a median size of 1,914 sqft and Washington, DC in third place with 1,908 sqft.
I should reiterate that these figures denote the median size not an average. The median is the midpoint from which data will fall equally either above or below.
